So I recently ordered my kit, super excited to start. I wouldn't say I have severe, or moderate acne, not even mild, but I do have frequent breakouts, sometimes I'll go weeks without having a breakout and others I'll get 5 different pimples in just a week. I don't mind a few pimples, it's the dark marks that comes a long with them, what makes it even worse is that I don't even pick at them and I still get the dark spot afterwards, which take forever to go away. I'm thinking of starting the regimen and only using it once a day at night, I also have very dry skin and I know my skin will get crazy flakey if I used too much bp. I know Dan makes it a point to start twice a day, everyday, little by little and then up your dosage of the bp so your skin will get used to it. But since I have very mild breakouts, would it be okay to just use the regimen once a day, use the cleanser in the morning, followed by a moisturizer, at night use the cleanser, bp and the moisturizer with the jojoba oil. I don't want to be too harsh on my skin if I don't really need it, but I also want to start off the right way, what do you guys recommend? Thanks so much on advance!
:]

I think using the BP only at night will be fine for you. I would recommend starting off wearing it one hour for three days, two hours for three days, and then three hours for another three days to get your skin used to the BP. You don't need to use moisturizer at night. You want the BP to dry out the skin some. I would hold off on the jojoba too. Don't add more then one new thing at a time. Let your skin adjust. I would recommend using the BP for a month, and then adding in the AHA 10 min after application at night. This will not only help your acne, help improve your skin, and help flake off some of the skin the BP is shedding. It's a win, win, win if your skin tolerates it. Good luck.

I started around two weeks ago and I've only been using the BP at night due to me getting severe flakiness. After 2 weeks of only at night I now don't have any problems with the BP, no burning, dryness or flakiness. I think I initially made the mistake of using too much twice a day.

I have the same acne as you do. I just get a few whiteheads around my chin now and then that really annoy me. The regimen has cleared all that up! My skin is a lot smoother and even in texture, so I don't regret starting it at all!

So you're saying I should wash off the bp? Leaving it for 1-3 hours? Or do you mean in the day? I'm just scared of looking like a reptile, I tried proactive and my skin couldn't handle it twice a day, maybe because I used it twice a week for about a week and my skin was piling and super dry, it seemed to be working but when I switched to only once a night I didn't see a huge difference, I'm
Scared I won't get the Max results of the product if I only use it once a night? After a few weeks you think I can start using it twice a day without drying my skin out, will my skin adjust to the bp after a few weeks where I may be able to use it 2x a day? And once I see results lower my dosage to one? Thanks in advance!

So glad it's working for you! Gives me hope! I hope I can just use bp once a day and keep it that way, have you upd your dosage at all or is your skin happy with just once a day?

Yes. Until your skin has time to get used to it, wear it an hour and rinse it off with water. No need to use cleanser twice. After the 9 days of timed use, you can wear it all night if you're not seeing a redness or reaction. I would recommend you stick to once a day. Your skin doesn't sound very broken out, and you don't need to apply it twice a day. Don't gob it on like Dan suggests either and wash your face for longer than 10 seconds when you do. You can use a sal acid treatment during the day like Paula's or Lumiplexion. Make sure you're using BP every day. The BP will make your skin sensitive, and it's important to keep the skin protected or you'll get more dark spots. Once your skin is relatively clear, you can use Lumiplexion's hydroquinone lightening bleach for those dark spots. It works great.
