I'm omitting all dairy and most gluten, but I'm also not eating sugar and juicing my own vegetable juice. last week my oil disappeared, but it's hard to tell if it was the juice AND the non sugar/dairy/gluten diet working together. I tried getting rid of sugar for a whole year... no difference in acne at all. I got rid of both sugar AND dairy for more than a month once... no difference in my acne at all. Unfortunately, I have never been on a non-gluten diet before, but it seems so harsh and impossible for me as a college student that I'd prefer to eat LITTLE bread, no sugar, and juice vegetables. My regime is posted all over my gallery and pictures if you want to look. However, a lot of people here have sworn on glutien-free diets, so go ahead and try it for at least 3 months, I can't think of anything you have to lose if you do that.

i eliminated milk for 4 years but i honestly think it made no difference. i also cut sugar out in those 4 years, but still haven't introduced it back into my diet. except for some natural cane sugar once in a while. i refuse to give up cheese =P

^ Same here (milk/sugar/cheese situation). I saw a little improvement, but it wasn't until I started cutting gluten and [finally] cheese (..among other things..+ eating more nutrient dense foods in general) that I saw the improvement that I needed.

I've been Gluten Free for 9 months now. All my health problems are gone now including Acne. I also discovered a few other things that my body was not meant to digest. Legumes, caffeine, & coffee. I'm also moving towards GF Organic Foods after reading "No Guts, No Glory".

Ps I have yet to find Cheese that does not contain Wheat.

I am in college too and it can be hard, if not impossible to exclude all milk and gluten. However, I've been doing pretty well. (I cheated over the weekend though) I was surprised to find how many restaurants and store brand products catered to people with gluten allergies. That really makes things a lot easier. As far as my skin, I really think this diet has been helping, but like you I dont know if its the milk, gluten, or the combination of both :/ I may slowly start to add some things back and see where it goes

I'm glad to hear that you're hanging in there then :). And college isn't doing any good for your acne either now is it, lol? Yeah, if it does turn out to be the gluten then you'll at least have your answer, I'm still waiting to see what mine is... it can all be extremely confusing and frustrating when dealing with diet. I'm actually considering never eating gluten again by the end of this week when my loaf of whole grain bread is gone... I've gone from normal bread to healthy bread to shouldn't-be-buying-it-because-im-in-college bread only because I've eaten bread and gluten foods all my life, but now I am seriously starting to reconsider. Just because my oil is gone doesn't mean that acne is using something else to fight for my attention. It's true, you have nothing to loose, most retail bakery items are just empty calories anyway.

I have been gluten free since 2008, dairy/soy/corn free since 2009, and free of all grains since 2011.
