Hello everyone! It been two-three months now and this pesky cyst will not go away! I mean it reduced in size really much. It looks like a regular pimple but a bit deflated and a purple ISh color. When I feel it, it's as if nothing is inside the pimple. I can feel a small bump, but yet I can tell there's a gap of air inside. It is right center of my nose. What can I do to get rid of this lingering cyst. I want to assume the inside is almost gone but I just don't want to say. The swelling is gone. Nothing hurts. It just looks like a small pimple. Thank you for helping!
Btw I look at the other forum telling me what to do with a cyst. Yes, I looked at it. But I feel like those things will not help the lingering cyst dissapear.

Don't know if the other forum said to get a cortizone shot or not at your derm's, but I most certainly would do that. It'll make your cyst go down in about 3 days, tops.

I'm not really sure why your mom thinks that you're too young, because a cortizone shot will basically "kill" a cyst, thus decreasing your chance of scarring. You're not too young. You might want to mention that to your mom, and make sure that she knows your chances of scarring are greater without a cortizone shot.
If you absolutely can't get a cortizone shot, I would say to apply a hot compress (a clean washcloth soaked in hot water, make sure to wring it out) until your cyst comes to a head, or you can tell that it would come to a head easily. DO NOT PICK. Once you see white appear underneath the blemish, spot treat it with something like Burt's Bees Blemish Stick, or even mint toothpaste in a pinch can help (only use the toothpaste for 2 days on a blemish, tops. It's harsh on your skin.) Keep spot treating until the blemish works itself out. It will do this when you take a shower, or wash your face.
If it never comes to a head, you really should think about that cortizone shot. If you keep noticin cysts on your face, there's a good chance you have cystic acne. If that's the case, you need to go to a doctor. I cannot stress that enough. I had cystic acne, I ignored it for too long because I was ignorant, and unaware that it's a disease, and now I have scarring. And guess who's now paying big money treating my scarring? That's right. Me.
Take a lesson from me. If your skin needs a doctor, then go to the doctor.
