Well, I use Cordes BPO 3 (Ichthyiol),
3% BPO.
after about 1 month still a lot of reddening and scaling, no burning or itching, though.
seems to work, but i still got some pimples and tons of red marks/scars.
"Avene Clean-AC" as moisturizer. are there any better solutions?
its for irritated acne skin, but its very "creamy", so my skin often has problems absorbing it.
i use Avene Cleanance gel as a cleanser, its really a great product!

please comment if you have tested anything else
(pretty strange writing everything in english, but its better that way)

Hey guys,

here are some options for the "german regime":

A perfect 2,5%-BP gel is "Sanoxit 2,5%". You can buy it at the apothecary.

What is known as "Eucerin Skin Renewal" in the US is the "Eucerin Unreine Haut Creme-Gel" in Germany. I've tried it, but unfortunately for my skin it doesn't moisturize enough.

You can order "Purpose Dual Treatment Moisturizer" through the internet, for example at www.care-line.biz , also the other Purpose Products. The disadvantage is, that you might have to wait a month or something like that until you receive it.

An alternative cleansing bar is "Dermowas compact Seife", which does a great job as well.

Hope I could help some of you!
Cheers,
khani

Hi all!

I'm new to the forum. I just tried to start the regime. The products I have right now are as follows:

Cleanser: Avene Cleanance Seifenfreies Reinigungsgel
So far it's really awesome. Not too drying, cleans off make-up, and it's very gentle. I have no irritation.

BP: Panoxyl 2,5 %

I've used it once. I believe I followed Dan's video exactly, using 1/3 of a finger, but now, the next day after application, my face is so red and swollen.

Mosturizer: I have Avene samples of Clean-AC, Cleanance Emulsion, and Anti-Rötungen Emulsion and Diacneal.
I'm not sure which one I should use.

This morning I just washed my face gently, waited 15 minutes and used the Anti-Rötungen Emulsion.
My face is very irritated still from the BP from yesterday.

What am I doing wrong?
What should I do next?

Thanks!

Hey guys,

I've made some changes in the products and procedure compared to my last post and have earned much better results!

Here is my version of Dan's regimen:

Cleansing: "Dermowas Compact Seife" (from the apothecary)

BP and Jojoba oil: "Sanoxit 2,5%" (apothecary) and "alva Jojoba-Oil" (apothecary) -> 5 Minutes after the cleaning I apply about 3cm of Sanoxit mixed with one drop of Jojoba-Oil to the skin

Moisturizer: "Biodroga Puran Formula 24-Stunden-Pflege für unreine, trockene Haut" (can be ordered through the internet, for example here: -> 5-10 Minutes after the application of BP I applicate the moisturizer

In the morning I just clean my face and apply the moisturizer. I use BP (= Sanoxit) only during the procedure in the evening.

I found out that besides the BP the moisturizing is really the key to unbelievable improvements of your skin!

Good luck and Cheers,
Khani

Hallo zusammen biggrin.gif

I started using BPO 2 weeks ago and I think, my skin has improved slightly by now. I found out about the regimen about 1 week ago, so I'm not very experienced at this point.

My daily routine:
  • Avene Reinigungslotion für überempfindliche Haut
  • Cordes BPO 3% (I started with 5% but it was waaaay to harsh for my skin)
  • Hydro Cordes as a moisturizer

Dermowas "soap" is quite agressive, only use it when your skin is really oily, and I would say use it one time, for other cleaning session in morning/evening use something milder. I know Dermowas would be very irritating for me at the moment.

I am using Avene Soapless Gel Cleanser. No big complaints about this cleanser, I really like it, only that it takes more water to rinse off (if you have it- use only few drops of it, it foams well).
As a moisturizer I use Avene Clean-Ac Soothing moisturizer, it works really well now that I am on accutane.

I have bought Babē Hydragel, it is originally meant as a day time moisturizer, it has sun filters and AHA acids. But it is quite strong for me, I use it once in 2 days at evenings. The AHA acids seem to be working in this one.

I also live in Germany and am trying to keep the regime as low cost as possible. I've been on it for about 6 months and have send drastic improvements from severe acne to nothing. I went to the dermatologist but evetually just stopped because he was prescribing me all kinds of expensive things and trying to sell me private "acne facials".

Cleanser: Vichy Normaderm Cleanser, this is pricy but one 200 ml bottle lasts about 5 months. sometimes it goes on sale and i stock up.

PanOxyl 2.5% Gel from the pharmacy

Moisterizer: Neutrogena Visibly Clear oil free tägliche feuchtigkeitspflege, available in most major drugstores and supermarkets. This is the most expensive since it only comes in a 50 ml tube and I need about 1 per month.

Also, if you are looking for a really cheap but effective chemical peel (Fruchtsäurepeeling) try The Rival de Loop one available at Rossmann for around 2 Euro. I use it every 2 days and its great, got this tip off of some German beauty forums and lots of other users seem satisfied with it too. The tube lasts about 1.5 months with regular use. Don't rub it on your face (it does have some granules, but just leave it on for like 5 minutes).
