Hello everyone,

I'm on my 2 and some month mark of taking Accutane so (first time) and I've been taking 40mg/daily. At first I was taking them no problem, and I had the normal side-effects of (extreeemeely) dry skin (face, and lips). Now, within the past few weeks I've missed a few days (single days and some in a row) as well as when I needed to re-fill my prescription.

Since Ive been taking it every day again after my missed days (about two weeks now?), I've only noticed slight dryness in my lips (getting a little worse but not by much) and almost zero dryness in my face.. so question here is, did I mess up my course by missing those days throughout my course and would I need to raise my dosage now?

Thanks!

no you didn't don't worry, a few days won't make a difference, the drug is still in your system for a couple weeks after stopping. When I hit month 2 the skin dryness went away for me as well and lips got dryer. The accutane experience is not the same for everyone, its all based on your body and no one is the same! Raising your dosage is totally up to your doctor and how he assessed the situation but if its working for you then there's no need. I had/have no dryness and it still worked great. Good luck!
