Hello,
I am using 200mg of doxycycline in the evening before bedtime like the doctor said. Im in a time of life where i am very stressed out and i see there is a lot of active acne still. I have been using it for a 5 and a half week now.
This may be a stupid question, i dont know, but i was wondering if I increased the dosage at times where i feel there is a lot of active acne, will it be more effective?
In a way it makes sense that it will be, but i guess there is some explanation saying that it isnt or that it increases the chance of side effects ( if it is more effective but makes me more nausiated at times , i can handle it).
Thanks guys

I'd say you should just take the dose you've been prescribed. I'm currently on 200mg of doxycycline too and it's working pretty well for me. It's far from perfect, but I'm happy with the results so far. It took a few months for it to really kick in for me, so don't give up yet!

I've been on 100mg Doxy for two months now. I no longer get cysts. But, I've noticed that I still have lot of smaller spots all over my face (and a pretty bumpy forehead) which I never used to have. It also has done nothing for my mild folliculitis on my chest and back. I was thinking of giving up on it. How many months did it take for you to really notice a difference? Maybe I should stick it out?
