For the first week or so of using BP, my skin cleared up wonderfully and I had no new spots.
But all of a sudden, I'm getting spots all over now. I haven't changed my routine at all but BP seems to be ineffective.

Has anyone else has this problem? Could it be possible that my skin is now more "immune" to BP or is it more likely a dietary issue?

This happens. It's not that the bacteria itself is becoming immune to it, but more that your own body is becoming more resistant to absorbing it (the BP needs to absord into the skin in order to do its thing).

If it doesn't stabilize after a while, you may want to try using other things in conjunction with BP, like clindamycin or tretinoin.

Thank you for the answer. I was afraid of this :(
I was wondering then, would it be okay to use BP for each day one week and then not use it at all the next week (and repeat)?

Maybe the body would have lost its resistance to it over that week? (or is this a dumb thought?)

I'll research into clindamycin and tretinoin too. :)

I'm honestly not sure. Body resistances are unpredictable.

Honestly, I just kept applying it like I always have, and it eventually stabilizes.

As for clindamycin and tretinoin, clindamycin, overall, is not as effective as BP, but is milder and has fewer side effects. Personally, I use Acanya, which is a mix of BP and clindamycin, as it's been clinically suggested that using these two medicines in conjunction is generally more effective than either by itself.

Also, tretinoin is basically just Retin-A. It's generally much stronger than BP and can't be applied as frequently. For instance, I use it just once a week. If I use it more than once a week, I get fairly red.
