As my username says. Actually I've had it since I was almost 14 years old. I started getting it in the summer of 92, and have had it ever since. I was put on minocyline/minocin, which I didn't take regularly, but it evetually- for the most part went away. Now I only get a few pimples every few weeks. I have the scars from my earlier bout of acne when I was 13, not much can do be about it now.

More recently, unlike my early teens, I now get sebaceous cysts. Doctor says it is hydradentis supertiva, not acne exactly, though I do get regular pimples. I do want to get rid of it forever, if possible, like a lot of you seem to want to.

Hey mate I can definitely relate to you. I have had acne since around the age of eight, and I am turning 23 now. Just out of curiosity to you mix your treatments? As in let’s say take doxycyline tablets, use various a cleanser, toner, moisture, spot treatment etc. I found combining different forms of treatments worked best for me. Also combining it with a facial works well, as unmanly has it sounds. I can't really suggest too much, seeing as I am not too sure about your age and what you have tried before. If you have tried everything, maybe look into either thee tablet or gel versions of accutane. Tablets are meant to be more effective, I think about a 90-something% success rate, and the gel has less potential side-effectives. Hope this might helped you. Also you can see a derm, if you haven't already.
