Since it's not your scalp that's dry, I'd definitely try a deep conditioner to put some moisture back into your hair. I'm not an expert on deep conditioners. I haven't used many, but one that I do like is Neutrogena's Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask. It has a lot of good reviews online. It always makes my fine hair feel great without weighing it down. But there are plenty of deep conditioners out there that'll do the trick! Just find one with good reviews and good ingredients!

About the Shea butter, this picture I attached is the exact one I bought. Got mine from vendors at a flea market but you can also get it online. Sorry your black soap ran out on ebay but have you tried amazon!? I always order from Amazon and get my items delivered super fast! Any questions about the products just ask me... I've been using them for a couple months now with great success Posted Image

Simplicita: shea butter

I went to look for the Black african soap at a soap store today and they didn't have it. but now that you told me it dries your skin out I'm not sure i want it anymore, my skin is already super dry and sensitive from accutane so I might get a rash or smth. I'm going to order the shea butter, i already looked it up I just wanted to make sure I would get the same one as you. Do you have pictures of before and after of scars? And would you mind sharing them with me..? Im so skeptical of things like these because from online comments and such I get the impression that the only thing that could diminish scars is procedures like peels and laser resurfacing.
Thankyou for commenting =)

I wish i did have before and after pics! I get so anxious for things to work sometimes that i dont think about documenting my resultsPosted Image. Seriously though the shea butter is amazing! It works better than cocoa butter or that maderma scar cream they advertise on tv. I can't tell you how many people i have recommended this to after using it. The only pic i can show is how my skin looks now where the scar was but I know that wouldnt prove anything lol, i regret not taking the pictures now :(. What I will tell you is that i once believed the same thing. I was told that only surgery or expensive lasers would get rid of scars but you know what, I've come to realize that almost everything endorsed by doctors and derms is ovbiously expensive and designed just to get your money. From when i was 13 i've been back and forth to derms, told to try the latest products for acne or scars n yada yada yada and after 10 years i discovered on my own that the best products were the ones from nature, the ones that cost little or NO money at all!!! Before resorting to expensive procedures or trusting a doctor, trust mother nature first and you'll see how awesome the stuff from natural Earth really is! Shea butter not only gets rid of scars but what it does is penetrates the layers of your skin to promote healthy cell turnover and actually help your skin to heal itself faster. I use it on minor cuts, scrapes, dry skin, stretch marks, and even as a hair moisturizer. I found a website for you that shows a bunch of other reviews on shea butter, hopefully that'll win you over! ;D.

AND...Next time i promise to take before pics!!!! lol http://www.naturessh...onials-s/75.htm

I get mine from a vendor at a flea market. An African guy works for the company and always has his products out on a stand. Online though you can find the same one on amazon, just do a broad search for Shea butter or type in African Shea butter and it should come up definitely. And just a tip, make sure to buy from a high rated seller with good reviews :)

And yes that amount was not worth 7 bucks... I got double that amount for less. Overall though the product lasts for a long time and you don't need to use so much of it at one time so if you can't get the best deal just focus on the quality of it n I'm sure that'll work out well for you :D

I'm sorry to read that you are having such a hard time! I can relate to a lot of what you describe. I have also become very anti-social because of my acne. I am just so excited for the fall when that'll be a thing of the past and I can start working on my confidence. I'm just beginning my third month and while I'm not really breaking out anymore, the red marks are still there and it is frustrating! I just try to remember that they will fade for me, just as they do for everyone else. And they will fade for you too!

You could totally find shea butter at a health food store if you're near one. Some pharmacies might even carry it.

Also - Where in Canada are you from? I'm from Montreal.

I used to use the macadamia hair mask and it was really good but its 40-45$ and I don't like spending so much money on such little product. I have really fine hair too and I hate when products weight it down, it looks so flat! Ill check the neutrogena one, hopefully its less than 45$ lol

I ordered it but I couldn't find it for cheaper than 15$ =(. Oh well Im sure it'll be worth it. I also ordered a soap bar made of shea butter and dead sea salt. IM SO EXCITED for those to arriveeee!!! I went to a hand made soaps store and bought a lotion that looks like a soap, you just rub it on your face. Its really oily, but with my dry skin it doesn't bother me. It smells amazingggg and its already starting to change the texture of my skin and brighten up! its all natural and organic, so I'm going to be using that meanwhile I wait for the shea butter! thanks for letting me know about it, I can't wait to get it lol!

I ordered it from ebay =) Ive had no time to go look for anything so I took the easy way out lol. fall is just around the corner, it'll come sooner than you expect.
How far into your accutane course are you? I wouldn't even worry about red marks, they fade! I'm seeing now that even scars (dents) go away when you get near the end of accutane ( i just started month 4). My red marks become lighter day by day! Im exfoliating now as well though and Ive started to see more improvement since I started doing that, it gets rid of dead skin faster! And the fact that you're not breaking out anymore means that theres no new marks so you'll have a clear complexion in no time!

DAY 92
My back feels so much better after yoga, the pain went away right away. However I'm really sore because I worked out after, since I hadn't in weeks. It's the good kind of sore though, definitely not due to accutane. didn't work with heavy weights because in the past that hasn't mixed good with accutane. My skin feels great! I have been walking around running errands the last couple of days and I got a slight tan. I used to love the sun but I can't stand it too much right now. I don't know if that's due to accutane or due to the fact that its just been way too hot and I've been out in the afternoon when the sun is way too strong. either way I enjoy the warmth, I just enjoy being in shade meanwhile I enjoy the warmth. Everything is going well right now and Im happy to think about how close I am to being done!
Also, this makes me super happy Posted Image :

NOOOO!! Fall better not be around the corner! I love the sun, accutane or no accutane. :)

I'm just beginning my third month. I was on 40 mgs for the first month and 60 mgs after that. I'm having hearing issues so I was on and off for a couple weeks in there.

This morning was AMAZING. I'm in such a good mood. Last night, my skin looked like shit. This morning, I woke up and so much had faded and there were no new pimples. For the first time in FOREVER. I looked like a normal person. Almost. OVERNIGHT! It was incredible. I think the humidity is doing really good things for me. My skin is barely dry anymore and stuff heals so much more quickly. My dermatologist had told me that accutane wouldn't do anything for scars and I would have to think about laser treatment afterwards, but BOOM - shit is working. Sorry, I'm just really excited. :)

Have you ever tried hot yoga? I'd like to, since many of my friends love it, but I'm worried that my skin would freak out. Maybe in the fall...

haha alright fine, you have another 4 months of sun to enjoy!
That's good to hear, I feel like thats happening with me lately too. it seems like the texture of my skin gets a little better every night. i guess those are the wonders of accutane! Honestly Ive read that everywhere too, people saying accutane doesn't do much for scars but I feel like they go away if they're shallow, after all your skin is changing so much during accutane that it makes sense for them to disappear. I think people with really deep scaring have a problem unfortunately. I saw an aesthetician when I went to her salon to see what I could do about my scaring and she said I don't have to do anything because by the time I'm off accutane there won't be any scaring. She herself had been on accutane 3 times and had no scaring. So let's hope thats the case with us too!!!!

I haven't tried hot yoga yet, Im going to one of these days though! I don't see why your skin would freak out, sweating is good for your skin! just make sure you keep hydrated and you should be okay. And don't go right after taking your pill, I think that would make you feel dizzy. Take the pill at night =)
Ill try it within the next couple of weeks though and let you know what happens Posted Image

Yeah, I'm lucky. I have no craters, just red marks that never get a chance to heal.

Well, because I feel like 20 whiteheads might surface by the end. Plus I have rosacea so that would just be a mess, lol. But accutane is supposed to fix that up too. My
rosacea hasn't improved yet though, which is why I'll wait till the end of the course to do hot yoga. Plus it's too hot out right now anyway - that would be really yuck! Still, let me know how it goes!

Awe I'm sorry to hear! accutane will definitely will get rid of the rosacea, its just acne. and don't worry about it not improving yet, it takes a while. Ive head these two cysts not for half a year and they're still not gone, but doctor says everything goes by the end of the course! Def. don't go to hot yoga, it might flare up!
