Glad you are seeing results! Ideally, people see results in a month, but I'd say any regimen should be given at least 3 months before any judgment is made, but do note marked improvements as you go along, so you'll be encouraged! Remember, if you were eating/living poorly for most of your life, you can't expect a total transformation in a few weeks.

Wow, that is good news. I'm still hanging in there, no real progress as yet, well, I think my chest acne is almost gone, but was never bad to begin with. My face is better today, but it could just be from the 2 days of Bactrim. I'm feeling more positive today, starting to accept my Paleo fate, hehe. I miss rye bread, cereal and porridge the most. And the routine pizza once a weak. Maybe after 3 months we will be able to cheat once per week, or we'll discover that we don't like grain anymore.

Have used AHA in past, made my skin worse unfortunately. Now I'm just sticking to an organic range.

hehe we are condemned on paleo diet heh :) I think you will see soon the good results of this diet. I haven't had new pimples for dwo days but who knows how long does it take. :D btw do you eat fruits?

I have read a lot of negative things regarding fruit intake and acne while on Paleo, especially if you have candida problems, who knows for sure? So I limit fruit to one or 2 servings per day, for example, today I had strawberries, yesterday a banana, day before some sweet melon. I don't count avo as a fruit, I normally eat 1 or 2 every day. How many fruit do you eat / day?

But I refuse to limit high carb veggies such as carrot, pumkin and sweet potato. It does not appear to bother me.

Yes you're 100% right about any regimen should be given at least 3 months. I won't give up and try, I have nothing to lose. I've seen your log and how long did it take to cure your acne, 4-9 months??? Posted Image

@Lilo - I haven't eaten fruits from several days, maybe I should eat some, even one or two a day.I focus not only on paleo diet but I choose most of all anti-inflammatory food. Posted Image

Hey Bart, how's the skin doing today. Mine is also improving a bit from last week, in spite of having tremendous work stress. So, my break-out / inflammation issues either came from eggs, butter, nuts, fermented foods (all of which I eliminated starting on Monday) or else it was just my hormones that went rampant (hope not) or even the dreaded oil cleansing method that I tried for a few days. Too many variables. From those I will try eggs again when I am clear.

Your diet is a lot cleaner than mine, hehe!

Hi Lilo Posted Image I see the condition of your skin is better than few days ago. That's great. I don't know what cause my inflammation. I haven't eaten eggs for 3 days. I got 2 small whiteheads around my mouth today. I eat nuts every single day, but only 50g. My skin is less oily from today, I had dry cheeks, nose, beard after 8 hours of washing my face. Only a little bit forehad was oily but not like always. That's great because few days ago I had all face oily after 4-5 hours.

Myabe my diet is more cleaner than yours lol Posted Image but it's sometimes hard to eat only the same things, you know what I mean, we eat similarly Posted Image

I didn't read all the posts, but I recommend getting rid of the multivitamin and zinc. However, I especially recommend cutting down on the fruits. I see that fruits are now on your Avoid list, so that's good.

Nuts are a trigger food in a lot of people. Try going without nuts or peanutbutter for a week if you havent tried it already. Fruits and nuts are pretty much the only thing I dont like about your diet. Everything else looks really good. :) Just make sure your coconut and olive oil are organic.

Hi there, things still going well this side, skin not too bad, still have a few bumps on my forehead but nothing too major, and I'm getting into the habit of eating differently and starting to enjoy it. Monday will be 4 weeks. Hoorah!

Hi Posted Image

I'm 21 years old guy, who suffers from acne for ages. I would like to ask why do I break out everyday?

My diet:
no gluten, no dairy, no nuts, no citrus fruits, no eggs, no artificial sugar, lot of fruits and veggies, fish, chicken, etc

I dont have any resluts for 3 weeks, it's even worse when I stoped using EpiDuo. I take also 2000IU vitamin D, Probiotic, Omega 3 Oil, Multivitamin and Zinc 30mg, nothing helps...

What should I do then?Posted Image Help:)

Some people claim certain vitamins break them out, such as B Vitamins.. or fish oils.

Make sure you regularly wash your pillows and sheets with a fragrance-free detergent, get lots of exercise, drink loads of water and avoid touching your face. Also see if your shampoo or anything else you use is making you break out. Use non-comedogenic products only. You've got an amazing diet plan going already, but check all the foods you're eating for their glycemic index.

Right now I'm eating nuts beacause I don't think it's a cause of my break out. I have them every single day and it's only better since 10 May. I'm advoiding fruits and eggs. From 3 days my skin is less oily (dry after 8 hours!!! amazing), so it shows that the food what I eat has a great effect on my skin condition. Posted Image I have only low glycemic food.

@Lilo - you'll see what will happen after 3-4 monthes Posted Image That's great your skin condition is better now, my skin too Posted Image

I just looked at the photo, your skin is very oily. That's the reason you have acne in that area. Once your diet kicks in and all those oils level off and toxins are out of the body, and any anti-bodies are all gone (from food allergies) your skin will not produce oil like this. I was oily before I cut out dairy and gluten, where gluten was the biggest food allergen I have. My skin is never oily anymore and it's always comfortable. Good luck

How do food allergies cause oily skin?

listen, maybe you have less acne, but you still do, right?
so now do the opposite.

cut all nuts and eat fruits as much as you want.
[i dont believe in all this high sugar fruit>high insulin>high IGF1>oily skin>acne thing]

try it for a 1-2 weeks.

Sure I still do, I'll cut all nuts and see. I thought something about it and I agree with you, maybe it's a cause of my acne. I eat wild boiled slamon every day with vegetables and I try avoid eating meat, I have it only one or two times a week. :D I hope it's good.
