Hi, i recently found this site and i am serioulsly thinking of trying the Regimen.
I read it over a couple of times, but i am still unsure about one thing: how many times a day to i use a cleanser?
Also, i work at a pool and i was wondering if chlorine could affect acne in any way?
Thanks :)

You should use a cleanser twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. No more than that. Over-washing your face will dry out the skin, causing your skin to produce more oil to make up for the lost moisture, thus causing more acne. :( The only way I could think of chlorine causing acne is drying out the skin (same thing happens as over-washing your face) and irritating the skin, both which can cause break-outs. Over-exposure to the sun can aggravate acne too, just a heads up, so make sure to wear sun screen! I wouldn't worry too much about the chlorine though. I've never really experienced any negative effects to my acne swimming in a chlorinated pool.

Can someone enlighten me why a "cleanser" is even necessary?

I've used nothing but water for about a year now and it works great =]

Cleanser will dissolve oil on your face. If you have a little oil, water would probably do it, but if you have a thicker layer it won't penetrate it. The same way you cant wipe down an oily surface in your kitchen with just water, or if your hair ever gets super greasy it takes forever to get it completely wet through.

Thats my understanding anyway, I know some people seem to do great just washing with water.
