I'm suffering from acne for years. Last week I had a long discussion with my dermatologist. Finally I decided to take accutane, just 10 mg twice a day. I have only a few pimples but my face is so oily... Also I never know when some huge nodule/pustule/cyst is coming. The problem is that I can't take it anymore, really struggle mentally. I was waiting for so long because of my blood problems, not huge but worth some attention.
Is anybody out there also using such a dose? How are you doing?
Thank you for attention

I hear you about the struggling mentally, that's the main reason I started accutane as my acne was intially pretty mild/moderate. I started on 30mg a day, so not much more than your on but it all depends on your weight really (I'm 60 kg). I'm 9 weeks in now and unfortunately I did have a pretty bad intial breakout which is still ungoing but as far as oily skin goes that disappeared within the first month! Before starting and through the treatment I would constantly check sites like these wondering when my skin would clear up, looking for hope/answers but everyone really does react differently to the drug so just just patient and hopefully you will get some positive results soon! I have heard good feedback from low doses, especially if the your skin isn't too bad to start with, so good luck!
