And by the way... i read a while ago that swelling from subcision would only woirk to mask icepicks and would not affect rolling scars all that much as they would just look like raised rolling scars if they were still there so that should definately make you feel good - i really cannot beleive those before and after pics...

frankY (what's with the Y?)

I didn't quite catch the meaning of your last post. I've still sick with the flu, so I may be a little slower then usual. Anyway-- are you saying you read that subscision does not work for ice pick scars and does work for rolling scars? If the process makes a rolling scar a raised scar then it would still be scarred but in a different way. Could you clarify for us remedial posters. (or it might just be me and my hazy head)

Wow, you're going to have to fight those boys off with a stick once you're through! Your skin is showing definite improvement each day! I meant to mention yesterday, I thought the red lipstick was a nice touch. You're my new hero!

Your scarring has improved dramatically, no doubt. Hope your results incline, good luck. Hope to see more pics and posts.

DO YOU KNOW HOW SEVERE OR MILD YOUR SCARRING HAS TO BE TO GET SUBCISION, OR CAN IT BE ANYTHING??? (I KNOW ROLLING SCARS R BEST, WHICH IS WHAT I HAVE)

Aww, such nice words from LAET and darlingbud - Thanks!
Though I forgot to put lipstick on today - sorry about that!

bez157 - I don't know how severe or mild your scarring has to be to get subcision. I would assume that you could get it done on any type/size of scar but that the results would vary depending on the type of scar. I would ask your Dr. to determine what's best depending on their experience with subcision. I have heard that rolling scars benefit most from subcision, that boxcars respond a little and that icepicks don't respond much at all. Of course, it might be worth it to some to give it a try in case there is some benefit.

I'll keep posting more photos as I see improvements.... I'll likely post one tomorrow, one after a week, one after two weeks and one after three weeks. I'll post one after four weeks if I see enough marked improvement, but from what i have seen/read the improvements peak at about the 3rd week, so I wouldn't expect to post one at that time.

You have some small cleft type scars which i reckon are more like ice-pick than rolling. They just aren't that deep. Say 0.5mm. Good luck!

The Doc said 20% that is totally scary. It's like saying i have no confidence in the procedure or my abilities.

Since the swelling has subsided some, I see some of the scars re-appearing so we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves in terms of expectations. It's possible they'll continue to fill in, but there are no guarantees. I'll post a photo later on in the day.

but remember this is only after one treatment, without n-lite yet. also remember that it will take sometime for the collogen to reproduce.

I'd still say that thats a bloody good improvment tho.

Don't get bummed Tamara. I'm sure you will still see improvement when your skin heals.

Maya, you're still my number one hero girl!

Nothing dramatic to report. I'll post another photo on Friday - that will be a week from the procedure.
