Ok so, I get cystic acne and pimples on my neck / shoulders and back. I do get some on my face, but normally not near as bad, much less and they pretty much always end up going away / healing. The ones on my neck / shoulders and back, some of the cysts I have had for more than 3 - 4 years. I have only ever tried one treatment and that was retin a, a topical. For the longest time I have just not used any treatments or anything because it upsets me so much I choose to just use nothing. When I am not thinking about healing the acne (even though I'm always worried about it and what not) It makes it easier to deal with life because I'm not constantly trying to fix it if that makes any sense.

I'll post some pictures here so you can see and maybe reccomend what I could try to heal it or if its too late and the cysts will be there forever.

Most of the cysts or whatever they are that I have currently don't even really hurt a whole lot besides a few. They just don't go away and It sucks

Have you tried Panoxyl bar soap. If you haven't you should give it a shot. You can find them at Walgreens and or CVS.
I recommend the bar of 10%, yes the concentration is a bit high but it helped with my back acne and got rid of most of my acne in 2 weeks. I noticed significant results within a week. Since the skin in our neck and back is tougher and more resilient it won't be that harsh.

I could give this a shot because I'm currently not using any products, but do you think that soap you're talking about will actually work on cysts and what not that I have had for years?

Thanks Aby :D

I had cystic acne on my back when I was pregnant and had to go off my acne meds. I used the Panoxyl body wash and it cleared very quickly. I never had a break out on my back like that again. Good luck!

So how often should I use this soap? every day in the shower or is what? I guess everyone will react differently to it, but I'll try every day and go from there.

I had cystic acne on my back and chest and the soap made me extremely itchy and red but within two weeks my acne had decreased significantly.
I can't guarantee that it will work for you since we all react differently to topicals, antibiotics etc because we have different skin.
But it helped me a lot.
I suggest you use every other day but of the itchiness doesn't bother you then use once everyday :)

I had the same problem, and on my face a little too, I am on acutane right now and my acne is almost gone after three months!! I definitley recomend trying acutane, And with acutane it gets rid of it completely, and in most cases you do not have to pursue further treatments!!

There are directions on the body wash on how often to use it. I think they recommend starting once a day or every other day and then building up to twice a day. I wouldn't use it everyday once the acne subsides because the high levels of BP can really dry out and irritate the skin.
