Hey guys

Well..I love pasta..A lot..My dream is to go to italy so yea...

Anyway, i notice whenever i eat pasta, i have a tendancy to break out i think. I don't really know why. But i really miss my pasta so i went up to the health food store and bought some pasta stuff. I was wondering if you guy's think this will still break me out. The first thing i bought was
Brown rice pasta shells. There gluten/wheat free. The ingrediants of it are brown rice and water. Not ganna lie though..There not the best tasting things in the world..but at least for now. Now for the pasta sauce i bought oraganic strained tomatoe sauce. It's only ingrediant is well...Organic strained tomatoes. Though they have a recipe that i might try. I would add extra virgin olive oil, basil leaves, and sea salt. So what do you guys think? Also, should i add the olive oil, leaves, and sea salt to the pasta sauce or leave it as it is?

HI there. Pasta breaks me out too. I guess, sadly, it's best to stay away from it. At least for now. Brown rice pasta probably will not break you out. I bought brown rice linguini and ate it every day for about three days and it didn't give me any problems. So I wouldn't worry about that. I agree they don't taste the best. I think the key is not cooking it as long as the package directs you to because it gets all mushy and sticks together. Do you usually have a problem with tomatoes breaking you out? I personally don't think they break me out but I'm not sure. I think the sauce should be fine too as long as you don't have issues with tomatoes and yeah definitely add the oil, leaves, and sea salt. You have to make it taste good! and all those ingredients are good good good. Also the gluten free penne pasta is the best of all. I can't remember the brand though...

If the pasta is gluten-free, and you don't have a problem with rice.... I know tomatoes are in the nightshade family. Nightshades (like tomatoes, bell peppers, chili peppers, etc) can be inflammatory to some people. Might be worth trying the pasta without the sauce and use pesto or a garlic olive sauce instead.

I believe that pasta is actually more corn than quinoa. Perhaps you are discussing a different brand.

I stick with brown rice pasta on my workout days for carbs, definitely over wheat, whole or not.

Pasta breaks you out because it raises your blood sugar levels aka insulin. The same with other grains like oatmeal and rice. They're fast burning carbohydrates.

Pasta might break u out becoz of gluten and refined carbs in it. Either way it's bad for ur skin. However I tried gluten free pasta and it didn't break me out ( i tried even whole wheat pasta and nothing happened), but I have pasta like once or twice a month, lol. I wouldn't make it my main dish.
