Here's my deal, and if you read this, go no further without knowing I have entered the biggest state of depression about my skin in two years. Knowing where I've been, I can tell you that that is pretty f***ing bad.

For 4 months, I managed to remove all the whiteheads, and the INCREDIBLY HORRIBLE cystic acne from my face, yet due to I suppose picking resulting from being uninformed, I was left with red/brown marks covering around 50% of my face, in all regions of the face (not confined to the outer areas or whatever). However as I could run my hands over my face in the shower without noticing lumps, dryness or, for lack of a better word, the hard, dry lumps that resulted from treating whiteheads with topicals.

Feeling therefore confident, I got a referral to a dermatologist specialising in post-acne scarring and red marks, who I had been assured would inform and guide me through the process of chemical peels, laser or microdermabrasion. So you could say I was in the best mood of my acne suffering life.

However less then a week before the appointment (which is now TOMMOROW, from the day of this post) I experienced a number of breakouts, which were not confined to one region. One cheek now contains two whiteheads, which I do not know how to treat, whether popping them is good or not. I usually leave them alone out of fear. Yet my new chin acne has been reduced to the dry hard lumps that I recognise as them being nearly read to f*** off.

If this appointment does not go well, which I now see as impossible, he will have to refuse scheduling laser/chemical work to remove scars, and I will have to wait months till a new appointment. AND I START UNIVERSITY IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS. I lack the social skills to succeed even without acne.

From past experience I would say another couple of months before I can even consider being at the right level for a new appointment.

Every college freshman I've ever met has been socially retarded. That's why people go to university. To learn how to function as an adult. I assure you, lots and lots of people are in the same boat as you and are just as scared. You'll be fine.

Don't pop it! It will get more irritate later. Maybe you want to try diluted apple cider vinegar to help with your problem? i manage to get rid of cystic acne with it and my red acne scars is reducing.
