Sorry for the gross description, but I want to be clear on what I'm talking about. So I've just started moisturizing for the first time in my life, but I have a bit of a concern. On any given day, I tend to have a few whiteheads on my face. Now after washing my face in the sink or shower, sometimes some of these whiteheads open up and began to ooze/leak, if you will. I usually like to moisturizer within a few minutes of drying off my face after washing, but now I'm wondering if doing so with the oozing whiteheads can spread bacteria and lead to increased acne around the face. What are your thoughts/opinions on this?

Would it be better to pop it and clean the area?
(For me, if I don't pop it quickly, the comedone turns into a very large cyst that can takes weeks to months to heal up and often leaves a very nasty scar)
