I've been taking b5 now for about a month(worked my way up to 10g) and my back is so much clearer now :) . However, my face is less oily but it keeps breaking out. I think I take good care of my face. I wash it twice a day, use non-comedogenic moisturizers, use differin as a spot treatment and wear a little bit of non-comedogenic makeup. I also eat well. Besides I would think that the vitamin would help my skin regardless of my skin care routine, especially when I really don't take good care of the skin on my back. Does anyone have any insight into why this is? Am I just being inpatient?
Thanks! - Aisha :)

This is my first post here, so hello to all.

I noticed your post because my situation is on the reverse. My face is clear, but my back is still afflicted.

I have suffered from acne on and off for ten years now, and in that time have experimented with many things, including large doses of Pantothenic Acid (VitB5), which didn't work much for me. It did make me sleep a lot less though!

in my ten years of experimentation, which includes various spurious explanations from doctors whop clearly didn't have much of a clue what they were talking about, i found that i have varoius intolerances to different kinds of foods. I think perhaps this may be your problem too.

Do you drink coffee or tea? Do you eat cheese, drink milk or eat chocolate. I cannot have any of these. If i do the skin on my chest and face breaks out.

I recommend cutting out these items one-by-one to see where your intolerance is.

I haven't yet been able to clear up the skin on my back. I think it could perhaps be something in the tap water that i bath in (i only drink mineral bottled water).

To conclude, i must encourage everyone who suffers from acne to analyse and edit their diet before trying drugs of any kind. Caffeine and dairy products seem to be top of my own list as causes of acne.
