so its my first time posting but Im basically feeling really stuck with when it comes to letting people see my face without make up, I need to go to this overnight retreat(3 days , 2 nights) at this college far away from where I live. Theres gonna be a bunch of people from different schools all over CA, and 10 people from a group I belong to in school. I just started going a couple of weeks ago to the meetings so i dont know them very well (and I have social anxiety so im quiet around them) .. I really dont want to miss out on this awesome retreat, to get to know better the people in my group, and learn the skills the retreat is intending to provide but I have no idea what Im gonna do when I have to wash my make up of and everyone is gonna see my horrible scars, my spider veins, my acne, and then im gonna have to wake up looking like hell (possibly with new pimples since I develop mine in a matter of hours) and gonna have to do my make up routine among all the other girls,(!!!) btw Ive checked all the girls in the group has baby soft skin, and not a single blemish. what am i to do? just go for it or retreat?

Of course go to the retreat, this can only make you a stronger person. Conquer your fears and make it happen.

Go for it! There are more positives than negatives - you listed them - and it's clear that you don't want to miss out. I can't relate to the anxieties that may be attached to applying or removing makeup, but I can certainly understand the fears about your skin being seen by others and about waking up around others in a morning when you can't be sure what your skin was doing overnight, but you never know, you might get lucky and things might stay relatively calm while you're away. You'd have a better chance of that happening if you don't get stressed about it and forget about your skin for a few days. Easier said than done, perhaps, but if your occupied on the retreat, busy doing stuff and getting to know the people, you'd have too much going on to pay attention to your skin anyway. It's a safe bet that you'd regret letting your skin hold you back and not going so don't give yourself reason to have regrets.
