Hey everybody.

Let me start by saying that I used Dan's Regimen for about 4 years and it worked fantastic, was clear the entire time. I was 18 when I started it with moderate acne. The only reason I had to stop it is because I believe I became allergic to the Benzyl Peroxide. Would give me a nasty itchy skin rash every time I applied it, basically happened over night. I even tried just to wash my face with the BP and rinse it off, not luck.

So I said screw it and threw away all of the products and started fresh. Naturally, I broke out like crazy, living in a very humid country (Bermuda) didn't help either. I tried apple cider Vinegar, I didn't eat carbs or dairy, I ate zero junk food, I even tried an oatmeal mask. I went to the gym 6 days a week as well. I used all different types of products hoping for results and still nothing.

What I finally did and found that worked was very basic and easy. Washing my face twice a day with Cetaphil cleanser, applied a 2% salicylic acid twice a day after washing. I then applied a 0.5% salicylic acid moisturizer. I also started shaving with a wet electric razor using a cooling gel, I did it in the shower same like Dan's regimen. THIS cleared my skin completly. Not only do i still live in a place with 90% humidity, I drink and eat loads of dairy, carbs, oatmeal. I really think people should think twice about diet having a huge effect on acne because for me It had no effect. I think the electric razor was a huge benefit and I think everyone should give it a go (directing to males). I also started drinking more coffee and taking in more caffeine, which should make my acne worse, but I still have clear skin. This is what has worked for me, and its so simple.

Note: As well, in both case of having acne and being clear, I took 2 multivitamins and 3 fish oils everyday.

Which exact salicylic acid products did you use?
