ok so ive been fighting acne for almost 4 years now, although my face has gotten a lot better im still getting a whitehead once in a while, but i have so many acne mark, which i think are starting to fade..

ok, so here is my theory.. since acne starts from the inside, it is hard to believe that anything outside your body contributes to it...

when you take protein shake, it takes its time to get into your system and what not... food works the same, you wont see the side effects of food ASAP but it takes time...

if you eat a lot of sugar, your body is like WTF, fight fight fight fight! idk im just talking out of opinion... you need to balance your diet so your body functions properly.. its like eating too much, your body isnt just gonna let the food sit in your stomach, it has to work, and sometimes it has to work overtime to breakdown the food, and supply it all to your organs..

watch this video it really helps

I've been keeping an acne log for 3 months now........and I wholeheartedly agree.........my skin always responds poorly to sugar, dairy and alcohol. And while the syptoms appear in one week, the root cause is what I did 2-3 weeks prior. For me, poor diet=acne. My red marks clear faster as well when I'm eating healthier.

That video was mostly about fat loss instead of insulin resistance. Sugar and high glycemic load foods create spikes in blood sugar and then your body needs massive amounts of insulin to lower the blood sugar. When you do this constantly, as most Americans do, your cells become resistant to insulin, and you keep producing more and more, and it never fully lowers your blood sugar. This constant state of high blood sugar and high insulin raises other hormones, such as cortisol and IGF-1.
