Just wondering, how long did it take you to break out again? (if indeed you did breakout)

I stopped the regimen about 3 months ago after using it strictly for over 2 years. Whilst stopping it, I took a one month course of oral antibiotics, as this would help curb any breakout (supposedly, that was my theory). I continued to moisturise a few days after stopping, both morning and night before quitting completely.
All's well so far - I never break out with pustules or inflamed zits - just the occasional cluster of whiteheads due to my oily skin, which I'm trying to combat.
I also started a few sun bed sessions, and my skin is looking pretty good right now.
My dad grew out of his acne during his late teens/early twenties. I'm 18 now, so it could just be my time...
Hope this helps
Forgot to add, I also cleanse both morning and night.

I was good for about 4-5 days, then all hell broke loose. Went to the derm and am on oral antiobiotics and a topical. It's been a month now, and am seeing gradual improvement.

I'm considering quitting completely in a few months. Maybe once my new bottle of bp runs out. I'd like to be able to just cleanse and spot treat with bp if needed... Nervous about stopping though because the regimen is awesome. But damn does it take forever, and mess with your skin.

My advice for anyone who wishes to stop, would be to continue using the regimen, as strictly as you can, and wait until you are completely clear. Then you may want to continue using the regimen for a couple more weeks, but use less BP than what you currently use.
I would also advise talking to your doctor about an oral antibiotic you can take, as this could help with a breakout.
Continue to moisturise for a couple of days after quitting - this will provide your skin with the much needed moisture!

i was 99% clear for a few months before i stopped, which was about 3 weeks ago? i havent gotten any inflamed zits (yet) and maybe like 7-ish small whiteheads, a few of them on my forehead where i almost never get acne, and oily. but the weird thing is i dont care so much about my skin anymore. i used to get depressed seeing one tiny new spot but now im not embarassed to go out without makeup. i still have a few whiteheads but i dont regret stopping the regimen but i think im more worried about my oiliness now
i still cleanse and moisturize with this really expensive organic stuff that my mom paid for (hehe). been using that for about a week now
so stopping the regimen doesnt mean stop washing your face, you can still use other products
bottom line, i think if you have inflamed acne, you should do the regimen until youve been clear for a while, then if youre not completely satisfied with the regimen for whatever reason you can gradually stop, like using less BP, and move on to try experimenting with other things (for me it was too time consuming and made my skin super sensitive and dry in the morning, then oily but still tight and flaky by afternoon. so yeah that became more of a problem than my acne)
