My skin has been peeling a lot and now I have patches of thick, old and GREYish skin on my face that hasn't peeled yet, which contrasts with the new white skin that I am getting. Is this normal?
It freaked me out..

Just finished my first week of use.

I don't know about the patches being "grey-ish". But dry, flaky patches are normal. If you keep using bp, use a very gentle cleanser and moisturize regularly, it will get better. And the patches will fall off on their own. Like so many things, it requires diligence.

I use Benzoyl peroxide as well, and it made my skin super dry. Lola Burns is right, you have to use moisturizer everyday and that really helps. My skin was a bit of a wreck for a week or two, but once I started to moisturize it all came together. I also cut back on how much of the BP I use. I use my BP mainly at night and that has cut down on some of the dryness. I also exfoliate everyday or every other day and that seems to lightly slough off the dry skin and my skin much brighter.

Try Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant it is a Rice-based enzme powder and it is not grainy, this stuff is wonderful!
I also use Dermalogica Ultra Calming cleanser- This is a great cleanser and it also removes makeup...good stuff!

I don't recommend all of Dermalogica's product but these two I think are the best for problem skin.

What moisturizer do you use? I have been on the hunt for a good one that won't break me out but leave me moisturized yet not with a greasy face, and I've been looking for a VERY long time. I'd love to hear your recommendations :)

wet your face, than in a circular motion massage the greyish flaky skin off your face. It is most likely just dead skin

Tom, buddy, what are you doing putting benzoyl peroxide on your face? You don't need to do that, there's a much easier way man. And i'm sure you hate having that red irritated skin after putting it on. Just start jogging, every day, a mid paced steady jog where you breathe deeply and steadily the whole time. Stop eating anything but an alkaline diet, and start eating digestive enzymes, these will become your miracle pill I guarantee it. Eat three a day with meals. The reason you're breaking out is hormones and stress. Start sleeping on a clean dry towel that is changed every night, this will cause your pimples to clear very quickly just in itself. You want perfect beautiful skin, this is the way. You wont have to ever put another chemical on your skin, and you're body will live about 50 years longer if you do this too, because the reason why yours skin is unhealthy is because your body is trying to tell you that your screwing it over inside. And stop doing whatever it is you're doing that is making you so stressed out. And maintain your inner energy, Qi, don't let it seep out of you from people taking it, or you wasting it on too much sexual activity or indulgences. If you want to really clear your skin perfectly and successfully drop me a line, and if you have any more questions, peace.
