Hey everyone, so for the past week and a half to 2 weeks, I don't know exactly, I've had this weird pimple right above my lip. It started off mostly white as if it were filled with pus so I tried popping it (I know, I know, but I was desperate) and it stayed the same size but turned bright red. It stayed that way for about a week, then went back to the way it originally was. It doesn't seem to be responding to any topical medications. Can anyone help me out with this?

Could it be a mollescum? If u look at google images it shows examples of what they look like. My daughter had one on her face that I thought was a pimple at first also. I brought her to the dermatologist because she is only 3 years old and shouldn't be getting acne and she confirmed it. She gave us tazarac to put on every few days just on the spot and to stop applying if it got irritated from it because h skin is delicate. It eventually got smaller and dried up but it seemed to form a little white center right before it fell off. It then was a red spot for a little while but its almost gone now. The derm said not to pick it cause the liquid material in it could spread the mollescum. She explained it is a virus like a wart and not serious and they are not sure how you pick it up initially but it can spread from scratching or picking. Yours might not be but I thought I would try to help because it looks very similar.

Thanks for the reply. It could be a mollescum, but I don't think so. Mollescums seem to look more like actual growths, this is just a little white bump.

Is it layers of skin kind of?
I had this issue where I a bump above my lip and when I picked at it (I know how you feel), it would bleed and come back. Sooner than later more popped up around my chin and cheeks.
I used aspirin and honey exfoliate and I noticed a difference within 1 day, in 2 weeks they were all gone. Try this!

Could you be allergic to your toothpaste? Some people have pimples (mine included) above their lip because they are allergic to the ingredients in their toothpaste. I read a topic that the sulfate inside toothpaste can cause acne on the upper lip. I used to have a pimple like that. I put 2.5% BP every night. It takes about 2-3 days to go away.
