Not sure if this is in the right area. but anyway.

Today at work a girl mentioned the clarasonic and how it saved her skin. Now obviously on Dan's regimen, exfoliation is a big no-no. But let me just tell you this story, because I'm definitely curious now...

So this girl has PERFECT skin. I mean perfect. flawless. so smooth. NO dry skin. ugh. I'm jealous. She wears no makeup. She crawls out of bed and comes in for her massage and looks GREAT. I on the other hand wake up and run to the mirror to check for new pimples and peeling skin. So anyway. somehow we got on the topic of skincare. She told me she used to have the worst skin ever. She said she went to some makeup place to get mineral makeup for her wedding and the lady applying it said her skin was really dry and flaky and that she needed to exfoliate more. so she went out and got this clarasonic and has been hooked ever since. she says she uses it once a day and applies only a moisturizer afterwords. NO BP NO MEDS. wouldn't life just be grand?? So I of course asked her if she broke out when she first started. she said for the first 2 weeks she did a little bit, but then it was great.

So my question is. Does anybody use this? Is it as miraculous as she says? I normally would be skeptical about this, but I saw living proof today that the results are amazing and I want it!!

do you get dry skin because of topicals you use?

I have tried it (clarisonic pro) and it didn't do much for me

exfoliation is great for a skin regimen.

"Scrubbing" exfloiation is a no-no, i agree. "Chemical" exfoliation is way better, Salycilic acid or glycolic acid.
Ive never tried clarasonic (way too expensive for me), but i did try the Neutrogena wave, didnt notice any difference.

yea, now that i think about it, anytime i tried to exfoliate with scrubbers, it was a bad outcome. i've never tried chemical exfoliation, besides using AHA. but that was bad too. i have very sensitive skin so a lot of things aggravate it. glycolic acid sounds scary to me because of this, but what about salicylic acid? i've only used that as a treatment.
