Hello folks first thread here hope i can get some answers. I have had acne since i was around 15years old and struggled with it pretty bad from 16 to 17 my face looking like a battlefield on a regular ba.sis. Back then i was never really terribly concerned just thought it was part of being a kid. Well I am now 22 years old and my acne is still troubling me.
My diet is pretty clean no sodas or anything like that, perhaps it will be easier to tell what i do eat and drink... Chicken(not fried), Turkey, salmon, tuna, apples and other fruits. water, recently green tea. I have used a huge variety of acne products. Currently this is what i use=
1. Acne Free Benzoyll peroxide cleanser
2. Cetaphil moisturizer for oily skin
3.Tried tea tree oil
4. Nixoderm applied on my forehead at night
5. Cod liver oil/ Zinc
6. Started minocyclin 3 days ago because my breakouts had gotten worse
7. Neurogena 2% salycic acid scrub(not anymore)
Now back to my acne until recently changing my diet (3months ago) i suffered from cystic acne usually they would come in two's. I only get acne on my forehead and back. NEVER below my eybrows other than the occasional one on the nose. My forehead and nose are oily only a couple hours after i shower(shower once in the morning, and before i go to bed) I generally get a good amount of sleep.
Anyway my cystic acne is now gone. But about a week or two ago my forhead started getting very small bumps all across it. The only things that couldve caused this are the salycic acid scrub(maybe i over did it), the tea tree oil(started around same time as problems). I dont know what to do my forehead hasnt looked this bad in years, so i went to my doc and he prescribed Minocycline because he noticed my face had gotten out of control. Before my skin was smooth(where there wasnt a pimple) but now i have these tiny ones everywhere across my forehead. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. I pray every night that this stuff goes away.
Lord Have Mercy On My Forehead Please Help Me Out

I am actually starting to think this may be a rash developed from using the tea tree oil, these little bumps arent sore like youd think acne would be. Is there a way for me to calm this stuff down

Perhaps the tea tree oil was too concentrated? I don't know, I've never used Tee Trea oil on my face before, just diluted to clean out cuts etc. It may be an alergic reaction which means it should calm down quickly if you've stopped using it.
Have you tried following Dan's regimen? I've had a lot of success with it.

Do you wash your hair both times you shower? I've heard a lot of people claim showering too much and with too hot of water was their problem. Also some peoples' skin is irritated by the shampoo their using. If it was just my forehead and back that were breaking out I would at least try changing my shampoo and showering only once a day (or even better, every other day) and with not as hot water. Sounds too simple to be true but it has worked well for some. I've heard good things about Head and Shoulders for people with acne. Good Luck.

^Showering with hot water is great because it opens up your pores so they can actually breathe. Teh problem is that they never shower with cold water right after to close the pores which might lead to a breakout due to bacteria entering and clogging the flow of traffic = WHITEHEAD!!!

I have these bumps, I'd consider drinking water with lemon juice (fresh, not concentrated) squeezed in. I know, I was very iffy about it at first, but it's smoothed them down quite a bit, and I think they'll soon be gone. Hope it helps! Heat it up, too. BTW, there's a huge thread about it on here somewhere, it's supposed to help your liver.
It works wonders!
Good luck!

You eat too much animal-products. You need to cut down animal-products and consume a lot of vegetables and fruits. Try going at least 80% raw. You can learn about going raw on the internet, just use google
