after much internal conflict whether or not i should make a log, i decided to just go for it hoping that it'll help me with any personal frustration or (hopefully) declarations of success. ermm, i guess i should mention a little about myself. i'm a 17 female, currently a senior in high school (as seen from the title), and took my first two 20 mg doses today. pretty nervous, especially after hearing about the horrors of initial breakouts and what not. high school is a cruel cruel world. i'm also a basketball player, and i'm hoping i won't get any ridiculous nosebleeds in the middle of practice or faint from headaches or anything.

so that was pretty lengthy... anyways, i'm not sure if anyone will ever read this, but i thought it'd be a nice way to make sure i don't go all 'depressed and mentally ill' because that would be a bummer right before college... which is mainly why my parents finally decided accutane was the right call, since they want my acne to go away before i go off to college. but any responses, feedback, or suggestions would be highly appreciated. :) or even a random comment or interesting fun fact. ... i should get to the log part now.

DAY ONE:
of course, nothing noticeable happened. just the epicness of FINALLY STARTING. my cousin laughed at how there's a pregnancy picture warning on the opening of each pill. the casing for the pills looked like a stack of books. that's all for today.

Good luck on your course! Im also on accutane, I like to workout/run alot and when I started accutane it kinda put a damper on my routine, My back was super sore, joints hurt, headaches etc. All this made working out difficult, I could imagine what basketball practice and games would be like. Just giving you a little heads up! Im not sure if your into smoking, but pot was the only relief I could get from the joint pain after working out. It'll be a rough journey but you'll make it.

DAY THREE:
well technically it's past midnight, but you get the point.. nothing much is different today, my face still gets really oily at noon (i usually just go in the bathroom and pat it down with a clean toilet seat cover, absorbs the oil pretty well). no signs of the dreaded initial breakout yet, though no signs of any improvement either.

i had a basketball game today, and i'm not sure if its a side effect, but i got tired/dizzy really quickly and had a considerable headache by the 4th quarter. my eyes are sort of dry too, but that may just be due to exhaustion. hmm.. any other side effects i may be getting? the tip of my nose is getting a bit dry, but my lips are fine and so is the bottom of my nose.

and though it has nothing to do with progression or side effects, i thought i'd throw out there that i totally failed at taking my pill this morning. i was in a hurry to go to school, and while trying to pop the capsule out of its immensely strong case thing (the one with the anti-pregnancy signs above every pill), the capsule actually snapped in half and the oils and chemicals and what not leaked out. now i'm paranoid whenever i take one out, and go very slowly and delicately. darn, one less pill towards my course D:
