I'm 21, and crossing my fingers that I'm done with acne.
Right now I'm still getting a couple pimples every few days, but for the most part my face is finally smooth and flat.
I've had acne the past 3 years on my cheeks and temples. Many many scars have piled up and I have red blotches all over the area.
The scars AT THE MOMENT are are flat and not raised/dented, the only problem is the discoloration.
What would work well for this? And most importantly, what kind of scarring will be left behind from all of this? I'm kinda holding out hope that they will fade away over time and not physically dent or chip my skin. Am I fooling myself here? Does all acne ice pick?
I wish I had pictures... any known prevention methods?
What Is My Scar Situation?

Well if they are not raised or indented and they are red then it is very likely just PIH which will fade over 6-12 months. Exfoliation can speed this process up through glycolic acid or a prescription like Retin-a could also help.
