I was looking through Dudley's post and found that.
Does the gauge being used for subcision leave a scar? Does it require stitches? Wouldn't subcision work better then lasers for "wavy" scars because you'll be building a layer of scars underneath the scars? In the video you see the guy doing his whole cheek, I think that's a good idea, while some doctors prescribe lasers for that type of scars, which doesn't make since to me. What do you guys think of all this?

Uh, that looks like it would hurt. Thank you anesthetics.
Most people say that this is a fairly simple procedure and there are little side effects. I think that if the needle left a scar itself there would not be a whole lot of praise on this board for subcision.

2. Does it require stiches? - No, the wound is so small, it heals itself.
3. Subcision works by releasing the fibrous bands that hold down a scar and give it that dented appearance. A person with rolling scars is gonna see very little improvement from any type of laser.

I have had 2 done before my fraxels (done on same day as fraxel)
I am numbed with numbing cream for about 30 mins then I have the option to take 2 valium and a demerol which I do... then she proceeds to inject the novacain around my face for the fraxel and subcision which is the tiniest of pinches.. then she does the subcision.. you literally feel NOTHING...
the nurse asked me afterwards "did that hurt it looked painful" and i said I didnt feel a thing. The worst thing about both procedures is the demerol shot lol

IN my opinion. This technique that is bieng used is probably not typical. He is sweeping that whole check and untethering the whole damn thing~~haha. Usually I assume its on a scar only area. I mean holy shit, that looks like its not good or typical techniqe. But hey, ive never done (just researched it). Planning on it though.
