Hey guys, Do you think getting a smoothie from tropical smoothie will break me out? I usually get the Acai berry boost. Which consist of Acai berry, pomegranite, banana, blueberry, and strawberries. I also get it with no sugar.

If it has fruit, it has sugar. Whether that effects you or not is an individual thing. I eat tons of fruit every day and it only make my skin better. But some people say it triggers them.

Ehh, it might not break you out, but you're better off making your own - you can control the quality of the produce and even add some greens. :P

But I'm biased... I just think Tropical Smoothie is so ... silly (good on ya that you get no sugar, though - their smoothies are pretty much just sugar with a side of fruit -__- )

I don't think my body likes when I have a smoothie of mostly fruit all by itself. Maybe if I had something else with it but I'm usually getting smoothies from jamba out of convenience. Sugar is sugar, whether it's from fruit or not.

Yes, some fruits can actually make acne worse because of the sugar in them ( especially watermelon which is considered high GL food).
You have no problems with fruits because everyone is different, just like I don't have such severe allergic reaction to gluten ( but I don't eat it anyways).

You mean Jamba Juice smoothies? I wouldn't have their smoothies, beacuse everytime I have them my skin breaks out in cysts. Or it's just me. However your body would love detox purple smoothies.

I used to get apple 'n' greens, which has the most veggies in it out of all their smoothies but idk. I'd rather make my own I suppose, the taste of them got pretty boring. I had a peach mango topper pretty recently on my three-day rampage, and got some inflamed spots way later in the day. The smoothie definitely could've contributed, or the cotton candy, or the corn dogs, or the loaves of co-op bread. 8)

Yeah, it's better to make your own smoothies, they're actually working great for my skin ( as long as they're detox or green smoothies tho). I'd never have any shake or smoothie from cafes or jumbajuce type of places, 'cuz I simply don't see how they make it and what they put in it. Look up for some purple detox smoothies in google, they really work ( thru diarrhea tho).

Oh yeah, if it's jamba juice you're talking about I recommend staying away. Mostly because they use soy milk in a lot of their stuff and there's tons of cross contamination becuase they don't wash the blenders very well. I got sick countless times from that place from traces of soy. I guess if you eat soy anyway it wouldn't matter but soy avoiders beware!

I stay away from any smoothie place after my most recent experience. It was at a coffee house similar to jamba juice but more coffee than juice based... Anyway, I told the girl at the counter about my soy allergy and asked her to deep clean the blender of any traces of soy milk so that I could be safe when drinking my smoothie. She ROLLED her eyes at me. Literally rolled her eyes, made a face as if I was annoying and then stormed off to do her extra work so I could eat safely. What a bitch. After that I decided I don't want to put my health in the hands of the sort of hung over bratty college freshman that work at these sort of places.
