When I finally was getting clear, when breakouts stopped completely, when my face started to look good, I got chickenpox! I didnt get over this disease when I was a kid, now Im 24. I was so excited with the remarkable improvement of my skin and now Im devastated and desperate. My face looks discusting and its getting even worse. The doctor told me I can continue with my acne regimen but only on places of my face where I dont have pox. He prescribed me ibuprofen for fever and pain.

Please help me, post your advices...

You poor thing! I know this is extremely frustrating, but try to hang in there! Definitely keep the bp off any affected areas of skin. Oatmeal baths can help with the itching. Calomine can help too and help the pox lesions dry up. Otherwise, just know that this too will pass.

Well, the worst has passed. My pox are drying and scabs are slowly falling down. No more fever. 2 days ago I continued the full regimen, 2 times a day, full amount of bp. Maybe its too early but I have to put my acne under control again. During the acute period of illness, for 3 days I did the regimen only once a day, and I skiped one day completely. Acne started to come back slowly, I got 5 whiteheads and 1 red bump although its small. However, after 2-3 days of full treatment, my skin is under control. Its not easy to differentiate acne from pox, but pox are going away and my face looks better every day. I hope bp wont harm sensitive spots left after pox.
