IronBull is my name and I am a 16-year-old teenager that has been suffering from mild to moderate cheek acne for 5 months straight. To be honest, I blame myself. I popped my pimples. I felt so bad about myself that I would have to cover it up with whatever I could find. No, I did not use any foundation or anything, but that's not the point. I started breaking out in October and I was like "Damn, I guess I have to wash my face more often.". I couldn't bare having pimples, so I popped them. Biggest mistake ever. Luckily, they weren't cystic pimples. I don't know what they were, but they weren't big at all and they would always have a yellow head on them. In the space of 5 months, I tried a lot of products. I felt sorry for my mother, because she kept fishing out money on these products and they did very little improvement. Luckily, I stopped popping my pimples at the end of November, so I could see an improvement, but not a big one.

Just to clarify what my mother wasted her money on. These are the products I have used in the space of 5 months.

- Garnier Pure Active: Deep Pore Unclogging Wash.
- Garnier Pure Active: Pimple Reducing Toner.
- Garnier Pure Active: Blackhead Clearing Scrub.
- Garnier Pure.
- Clearasil Ultra: Acne Treatment Cream.
- Clearasil Ultra: Rapid Action Pimple Cream.
- Clearasil Ultra: Pimple + Marks Lotion.
- Clearasil Daily Clear: Pimple Clearing Cream.
- Oxy 5 Vanishing Cream.
- Neutrogena Rapid Clear: Spot Gel.
- Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser.
- Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion.
- Differin (Adapalene).
- Benzac AC (Benzoyl Peroxide).

Now, I know what you are thinking. Too much chemicals. I thought that as well. Most of these products made my cheeks red, but some did very little improvement. I don't know if I used most of them right, but I'm not going to waste my time going through the process again with all of those products. School starts in just two days and I don't think my skin is damaged. I mean, there are a few scars and blemishes, but I use Garnier Pure Active: Anti-Spots Roll-On, which is a lifesaver for me. I only use it when I go out though. I wouldn't have confidence without it. Right now, I have been using Azclear Action: Foaming Wash and Azclear Action: Medicated Lotion at the start of December and my skin has gotten really better. I might still have a few scars and blemishes, but that's because I started breaking out again. For the past month, I have started drinking a lot of water, eating right, and I have been taking very good care of my skin.

If I had to rate my cheeks based on how bad they were out of 10, I would give them a 5. Sorry for the long post, but you are probably thinking why I'm here. I would like to know if there are any easier ways to get rid of my acne because using products is not something I enjoy. I would post a picture, but I'm not that confident. It's not easy breaking out for me, because I am an athlete. I don't mean to talk myself up, but I am a very good soccer player, I am very social, I work out, I hang out with a big group of friends, and I feel that girls won't like me because of it. I had visibly clear skin until I started breaking out and my last relationship wasn't that good. Not my fault, she was clingy. I am in Year 11 this year and I don't want to break out even more due to stress with homework and assignments. You can hit me up on Facebook if you want, but message me if you want to. Just had to put this all out there. Thank you for having the time to read this.

Regards,

IronBull.

I'm 15 and it sucks.. Literally makes me feel depressed, lost all friends and everything:/.

I'd suggest not using all those products above, Wash your face with warm water to open the Pores then dry it off gently then apply a thin layer of Sudocrem overnight, post if theres been any change?

Also i'd reccomend trying to not masturbate/Watching porn as it maybe has a small connection with Acne, drink 10 glasses of water a day to flush the toxins out,

Try to stay away from dairy products (This isnt a must but it would help, I guess)

Goodluck!:D

ElfSeason, I have never heard of Sudocrem, but I'll look out for it whenever I go to the mall. Damn, I'm going to be honest with you. Trying not to masturbate or watch porn is going to be a difficult task. I have never heard of that before. Sounds interesting how something completely natural can cause acne. My mother buys a pack of 600ml water bottles quite frequently. I drink at least 1-5 a day and refill them afterwards. Depending on what I have been doing all day. I haven't eaten dairy products in over a month, so I must be on the right track. Thanks for your advice. Really appreciate it.
