Hi everyone,
I wonder if raw honey applied on the skin worked for some of you to reduce or get rid of acne? I just started using it, but I don't see much improvement yet (as expected of course)
Has anyone tried raw honey? How long do you have to use it to see results? Does it reduce acne and redness?
thanks in advance

It doesn't help a whole lot with acne but it definitely makes your skin softer and less red/irritated. I use honey and oatmeal to wash my face everymorning and I have seen an awesome improvement in the redness (except when i get out of the shower. my face is always beet red after taking a shower). I actually just started using manuka honey and it works even better than raw honey, but it costs about 5 times more.

I had a couple nasty cystic ones recently. I put raw honey/asprin on them and it seemed to really help them unclog and come to a head.

thanks a lot for your replies! I noticed some small pimples or pimples under the surface I had turned into whiteheads, is this a good thing? Is it bringing all the stuff to the surface? Has anyone experienced this too initially? Will the skin be more clear after this initial purging or whatever it is?

I use honey with aspirin as an exfoliant. Get cheap uncoated aspirin at any drugstore and get two tablets and put them in your hand. run a little hot water over them until they turn into powder and add a drop of regular honey. Scrub any problem areas, avoid eyes of course since the skin is so sensitive. Honestly I saw a difference within the first use but noticed a HUGE difference within 2weeks. Try it! Cheap and easy!

I have tried a few honey cleansers for minor congestion shea terras and leahlani skincare products. Shea terra is nice and leaves the skin feeling good, but does not allow you to exfoliate like leahlani skincare 3-1 mask and cleanser and exfoliator. Both have wild honey which has great healing enzymes. I recommend leahlani skincare honey mask, cleanser, and exfoliator. Let me know what you think.
