Hi everyone,

I've been lurking around this forum for the last few hours (and on Google) trying to figure out what has been on my nose for the last 15 years. I have finally had enough of looking at it everyday and would like to eliminate it. The problem is, I don't know what it is. From the research I have done I have a feeling its one of the following, but I am not sure:

-Nodule
-Angiofibroma
-Cyst

About 15 years ago (I am 25 now) I remember getting a pretty bad pimple in that same spot. I believe I popped it, and since then I have had this bump. Can it possibly be scar tissue?

I have not had the opportunity to go to a dermatologist yet. I am planning on doing that sometime in the near future..-I would like to educate myself on it first.

i actually see a good amount of people with bumps like that on their faces (i have one on my nose as well), i used to think it was just a random bump that spawned... but maybe it occured after a pimple. I think you could cauterize that, but it will leave a sligth scar (either discolorationg or slight indent)

that's just the scarring from the cysts. You're lucky you only have one, I have about 11 of them on my nose.

Thanks for the response guys. Did some reasearch on what ihatemynose said, and that's definetly it. Time to look into ways on getting rid of it....-thanks again.
