I'm coming to the end of a 6 month (but actually works out at 5 and a half) month course of 60mg per day.
It is a second course and my acne was never that severe but I was incredibly self conscious.
However, nearing the end of the course and having been discharged by my dermatologist I'm still getting very strange breakouts. I didn't have any for about 2 weeks, and then have been getting small ones for about a week but they are not cystic at all and even when I do squeeze them, sometimes nothing comes out but they have risen from my face.

Is this normal and shall I try and get re-referred for another couple of months?

I had bad nodular acne before I went on a 6-month trial of Accutane, 80 mg twice a day. This did wonders to my skin, but it has since come back. Perhaps you need a stronger dose of Accutane to really get the job done. I was on a total of 160 mg a day. Perhaps you need to boost up to that amount to really start seeing results.
