My name is Leslie. I'm 22, and I've had moderate acne on and off (lovely side effect of lithium carbonate) since I was sixteen. I currently have an impressive cluster of papules and pustules on the right side of my jaw (and nowhere else- go figure). I'm starting a new regimen involving three topicals (Aczone, Epiduo, and Finacea) and hormonal contraception (Yaz- the only thing that's cleared me up in the past) to help tame my breakouts.
When I'm not busy glaring at my temperamental face in the mirror I like to read, write, run, and swim.
If anyone has any experience in successfully treating lithium acne please contact me! I'm interested in learning about others' experiences with crappy skin and this drug.

I've heard of yaz working for a lot of people as well, kinda kool being that its birth control. I dont really like using to many products on my face, especially derm products because they never helped me with my acne. I actually really like dans regimen, its gentle and works really well.

Margox, 23 and just been diagnosed with Clinical Depression; Bipolar Disorder..... and yes i have ACNE...... (having ACNE made me really depressed.....) i'm going to take anti depressants and Lithium Carbonate is gonna be one of them..... will it worsen my Acne???
my psychiatrist told me it's relatively safe to take anti depressants while i'm on my Accutane course...... guess i'm gonna have to talk to my derm about it!!!!
