So for this whole month I've been struggling with acne around my cheek and chin area. I used to have clear and soft skin. I would wash my face twice a day with Clean&Clear and then apply benzoyl peroxide and then moisturizer. Then I started to slack off a bit because my skin was so clear. The beginning of this month I started to break out, it wasn't noticeable to anyone but myself pretty much. So I bought Procactiv used that for two week, so no improvement so I stopped. I went back to my old cleanser, benzoyl peroxide and moisturizer. Well it looks so bad. Like everytime I look in the mirror I just want to cry. I'm not used to acne lasting this long. I just turned 19 so I'm off my parent's insurance so I can't see a derm at this moment. I did go to the doctors a while ago and he said that my acne didn't seem bad. But to me it is. I don't know what else to do.Attached File acne.jpg 123.99K 14 downloads that's a picture of my face, hopefully it uploaded properly. I'm hopeless right now, and I just want my clear sking back! Any ideas of what I should do? Does it look bad to you!? I need suggestions!! I want to get back to this skin --->> Attached File i.jpg 190.59K 12 downloads

I would suggest using Dans regimen, it really works well. I have not broken out since I started it, this would be your best option oppose to going to the derm. I used to go to the derm for it but they never really helped, believe me doctors dont always know what to give you. remember theres no real cure for it, so there guess is as good as ours.

i definately wouldnt say your acne is bad yet. if the regimen you used to use with the BP worked before i would say just stick with that regimen again and you should clear up in no time. id say mayb in 2 weeks? do your parents have acne?

I had to reply on this topic, because your acne seems (hmm acne.org not nice! It deleted my story)

It seems to be in the same area where my acne is located, and you are nearly my age (20).

I would say it is hormonal, but it could be that you have been eating really bad lately?
Some questions:

- have you changed birth controll pils lately, or quit with them?
- have you had a pretty stressed life lately, such as exams?

I am starting the guess, but my theory at the moment for my acne is that my body has imbalanced hormones because it is finding its way to change to the level of becoming an adult = balanced hormones.

Its just so annoying, I can't even look in the mirror anymore. My parents have clear skin. I mean my dad always say that I have his skin... but this is just unreal. I want it to be clear again. Or at least not as noticeable as it is right now.

I was stressed out about money and college, but for the past few weeks I've been kinda chill. I don't take birth control pills. Idk, I hardly really eat that much. I'm just annoyed right now.

I would recommend the regimen as well. Be patient with it. It could take a couple months to get clear. Some people actually break out worse when starting a new regimen. Don't rush to throw your hands up. Unless your skin is red and itchy from the BP, it should help clear you up.

College can be a very stressful time and acne definitely can be affected by your stress. Can you fit maybe a yoga or general fitness class into our schedule several times a week? Exercise is a great stress reliever.

Keep us posted on your progress!!

id say go to walgreens to the band aid aisle and buy hibiclens. start washing with that and make sure it never comes in contact with your eyes mouth or nose. you should be clear in a week. try it i bet you will be shocked.
good luck!

Try putting some anti-bacterial cream. It works for me. I noticed that the pimples heals fast with anti bacterial cream. I dont even have to put any anti-acne cream anymore. Ive been doing this since august last year and i never hav sistic? Pimples anymore. Maybe 1 and some few bumps every once in a while. Only This is a bit too late because I have severe pimple scars already. Wish I found out about this earlier.
