I noticed last Saturday that numerous pimples were developing on my chin. I often have small pimples in that area, but they usually stay rather small and go away in about few days. However, these ones only got worse as time went on and more began to appear.
This is probably the worse breakout I've had since using Dan's products (a little over 1 year; I don't follow the regimen exactly as the BP dries out my face, but I do use the Moisturizer and AHA+ regularly, and the BP occasionally) and I'm really curious as to what is the cause. A few things that may be the reason:

-Ate quite a bit of chicken two weeks ago (14th?). I have a mild food allergy to chicken, and yes I have gotten a few breakouts from it before but nothing like what I currently have.
-Got very little sleep last week, maybe 3-4 hours a night, except for the weekend (finals at school). I usually get little sleep, but I must admit that week was particularly bad.
-Cold weather? (I live in So California, but it's been pretty cold these past weeks).
-Dry skin? I liberally applied BP on my chin for about a good 3 weeks (stopped in the beginning of this week). I started using it to treat a bit of acne I already had on my chin. The BP did indeed make that area dry, even with moisturizer.
-Hormonal acne? Honestly, I don’t know enough about this to make any valid assumptions; all I know is that chin/jaw acne is sometimes associated with hormones.

That’s all I can think of for now. Thanks for any advice that anyone can give.

all acne is hormonal. It could be just your hormone levels are going crazy from something you ate...

Well it could be hormonal acne or the benzoyl peroxide .. I know so many people that use bp including myself(I don't use bp anymore) That have used Bp and when they stop they break out most of the time worse then before .. I'd try to lower your usage little by little until your off it .. I wouldn't quit cold turkey tho ,

If u shave try n find a trimmer and trim your facial hair
Try not to eat dairy products
And if you look into your shampoo look in the ingredients and is if there is SLF(sodium laureth Sulfate) this is a harsh chemical that causes the foaming in shampoo and actually is known for irritating the skin a lot , which could cause acne.. Take a look into these pointers and hopefully they work for you as I :)

I actaully am starting to use BP again. Just applied some last night after I popped a few pimples (I know, bad idea, but I'm fairly sure I got the head out, which usually helps me heal.

...And since you asked (dreamingofclearskin2011), I actually havn't been doing that lately....a bit, but definitely much less than say, a month ago.

Skin is getting a bit better, though any ideas as to why the sudden breakout happened would be great. Definitely do not want to have this happen again... Thanks.
