I'm new here because my recent acne flare up is new. I'm a 43 year old female who just started using essential oils in my skin care routine. I have Rosemary, Lavender, Tea Tree and Clary Sage (I heard they were good for aging skin). I had a couple small, common, minor pimples just before that time of the month last week. I applied tea tree oil to the affected area, and put clary sage on my lupus scars, and rosemary diluted in Bio Oil all over the rest of my face. (I have used Bio Oil for the past few months twice a day without any problems). My entire t-zone is littered with pimples, blackheads, and clear liquid filled bumps. This has never happened in my entire life! Everything I have read on the web about these particular oils say they don't cause acne. I would love to hear from anybody who has used these essential oils and has broken out. Does anybody know why this would happen? I take medication for my lupus, and have a sun sensitivity. Would that make a difference in how my skin would react to the oils? I purchased my oils at the local Food Co-op. Actually, I emailed them, and a gal is going to call the company to see if they have any input/advice. Thank you in advance! Jewelzee
