Where I come from, none of my friends have acne.... Except for me. I tried everything from proactive to clean start and it only got worse. This made me so upset with myself that I became severely depressed, my mom was so worried that she almost took me to a hospital. After months and months of acne that literrally covered my face- I just gave up and decided to live with it, and by this time my only friend was my mom.(how lame is that!!) I just started washing my face with regular foamy soap and my acne started to go away! I also becalmed less stressed and I'm not afraid to leave the house anymore! Now adays I do have generally clear skin and I thank acne.org for helping me to understand what I was really doing to my skin!

Switching from one product to the next can be even worse than the acne itself, and stress definitely plays a role in our skin. Stress can create a rash that looks like acne but is really not. Acne won't go away by washing with soap alone, but it sounds like you stopped the irritation. If your condition persists, you may want to try a non-BP medication since it's also very possible you had a bad reaction to BP. Sulfur is a good alternative for many people.
