Hi guys, I've been on the regimen for about two weeks and I've already started noticing the difference. I had mild to medium red spots and after two weeks one side of my face is completely clean BUT whenever I follow the regimen, this is what happens

I apply BP which makes my skin very dry. I then apply moisturizer and almost immediately my skin starts burning and goes red. A few days ago I also got a swollen lymph node near my upper jay right below the ear lobe. I'm starting to think that I might be allergic to something in the regimen. Anyone else with a similar experience?

Ah yes, you've reached the dreaded week 2-3 mark. A burning sensation following putting on the moisturiser is a common complaint. I know I certainly suffered from it and it got to the stage where I dreaded putting on the moisturiser but I knew I had to so that I was following the regimen exactly.

A common mistake that a lot of people make (myself included) is applying too much BP early on. I would recommend that you reduce the amount of BP that you're using and slowly start to build up again. I'm certainly not ruling out that you may be allergic to BP but your description of the burning sensation with redness is definitely a common one.

I know that my face got slightly swollen in the early weeks too, but I didnt have a swollen lymph node. That may be something you should get checked out by a doctor.

Good luck with it, and if you're persistent, this awful stage will pass and your face will no longer react so horribly to the BP.

Im finishing my 2. week tomorow and I also have burning and redness when I apply moisturiser. This lasts 2 hours or so, and after that my skin calms down. I think its completely normal.
