I have a pimple on my cheek that is deep and very hard. It really hurts and I swear I can feel my pulse in the thing!

I've been alternating hot and cold compresses. I put Benzoyl Peroxide on it last night and this morning it had a head filled with pus, so I gently popped it. Apparently that wasn't all that was in there, because it's still really inflamed and painful. I took two ibuprofen but that doesn't seem to be doing much.

Any tips for what else I can do to get this down?

I would use a clean sewing needle and prick the center of it. then use 2 tissues around each finger and press down on the sides of it. that usually allows the root to come out. or if you have any AHA, sometimes that brings up the gunk.

The pin method has never once worked for me in my life. Posted Image I am waiting. Trust me, I went through a few years of serious CSPD. I'm very, very careful with my skin. So don't recommend popping it because it is unpopable, haha!

aw ok. I know what you mean. Well in the past I have used Queen Helene Mint Julep on spots, and by morning they shrunk a lot. Ever tried that?

oh girl.. you did it now! never ever ever pop a pimple! you tihnk it looks better and heals qicker when you pop but it doesnt!! it comes to a head again as soon after the hole is healed up! the white pus is actually a good thing! that means that the whiteheads in your skin are coming to the rescue to heal the damaged walls under the skin thats looking bacteria everywhere. when you pop a pimple not only does it just come right back but you push bacteria deeping into the pore causing bacteria being capable of spreading to make more acne aroun it and making it very inflammed and irritated! so i would honestly do nothing at all! when my pimples come to a head like that i know what you mean by the throbbing it sucks its anoying and it hurts. but i try my hardest not to touch it at all. and it should go away within 3 days maybe 5 i know sometimes that seems likea while but i promise you it will stay longer and get worse if you mess with it any more!

if you by any change have 100% pure emu oil or lavender oil you can dab that on there. but i wouldnt try anything else! good luck :)

I already said I wasn't touching it! I'm considering trying an aspirin spot treatment, it has really great reviews online.

if youre staying at home and dont mind anyone seeing you with acne medication on, just take a bunch of benzoyl peroxide (not the gel one, like the strong creamy one thats for spot treatments) and just put a glob on it and leave it alone to dry out. i know you said youve tried benzoyl peroxide but idk if you put a little and rubbed it in or not
