Hey Everyone,

I have been on The Regimen for almost a month now and am feeling rather frustrated. I am starting to breakout in places that I NEVER broke out before. The breakouts are not terrible but it's annoying. Does BP in the beginning stages purge your skin of oil and dirt and then cause zits to surface? I have broken out on my forehead and my cheeks and that's atypical for me. I have oily skin normally and am dry with using almost the full BP amount. I use two full pumps of moisturizer and three to six drops of Jojoba oil to combat the dryness. Do you think all think that maybe that is too much moisturizer and that is why I am breaking out in weird places? My skin is still flaky though so it would seem I am not over moisturizing. I am just concerned bc I am breaking out in places I never broke out in before I started The Regimen. My terrible breakout prone area is my chin and for the moment I am clear there, so I am dumbfounded...I will probably breakout on my chin now that I said that, lol...

Anyone experience this??? Ugh...

Thanx so much for listening to me wrant!!

Hi,

This is very normal. Same thing happened to me. But don't worry, it shouldn't last long. You're probably going to break out for at least 3 months before you start seeing a difference. Maybe even longer, it varies with everyone. Don't give up =)

Hey whatthekell,

Thanks so much for getting back to me! I feel much better about what's going on now. I am glad to know this is normal. I suffer mainly from mild acne, so hopefully this will continue to improve as I keep up with The Regimen.

Thank you again Posted Image

I'm with Whatthekell, us longer term regimen users have all experienced the frustration that you're experiencing. It took a good 7 weeks for me to see a big difference in my skin and then another 2 months on top of that to completely stop breaking out.

Now that you've been following the regimen for 4 weeks, you could consider introducing AHA+. I started using that at around week 4 - 5 during my evening regimen and that made a huge difference to my skin, including improving the texture and most definitely combating dryness. Some people (whatthekell is one of them) had unsuccessful results from the AHA+ so keep in mind that our skin is different to each others.

Keep it up, follow the regimen exactly and in 2-3 months you won't know yourself, and these earlier weeks will be a distant memory! :)

Im only in my 2. week and Im affraid this could happen to me also. I have never had acne on my forehead so this is the area where i dont apply bp. A few days ago I got one pimple there which gone away quickly. What should I do? Should I keep my regimen or should I start applying bp on my forehead? Question for all. Thanks

Hey AyeAye,

Thank you too so much for the encouraging words! I know I need to wait it out and I will. I think I will incorporate AHA + as you and Brandy think it would be a good idea once I've been on The Regimen for a month.

Thanks again!

It's really up to you, trial and error. If you don't think you need to apply it there, don't. Some people only use it on parts of their face and some apply everywhere.

Hey Radovan,

The pimples that I have gotten in odd places are not severe, instead they are pretty mild and are getting better. I have no clue why I am breaking out in these new spots. All I can attribute it too is that my skin is adjusting to BP all over my face and now I am really moisturizing. I used NEVER moisturize, thinking since I had oily skin that I'd just create more oil and therefore more breakouts. I was wrong. Having overly dry skin can lead your pores to producing more oil and that can equal more breakouts.

I personally apply BP all over my entire face. My problem areas are my chin, my nose, and parts of my forehead, however since I have oily skin I feel that BP all over my face cannot hurt and will ultimately lead to cleaner/heathier skin. Just my thoughts.

Good luck and ask the other members for support, I am still new.

Take care!
