Hi there,

I'm male, 46 and suffered from acne since my teens. Used all the off-the-shelf remedies and found no real effect. 5 years ago saw the doctor and he prescribed minocylin which worked. After a year he took me off it as long term it would turn my bones and teeth brown and brittle. He told me to do exercise and eat my greens - I did already!
By experiment and research I eventually found Pronexin helped a great deal, especially in reducing the soreness and amount of puss. However, it was still not a cure-all, sorry to say.
The last two months I have been both taking a spoonful of Manuka honey (15+ strength) per day and adding cress, mung bean shoots to my salad nearly daily. Around christmas I suddenly realised my complexion was really good and given the reputation of Manuka Honey have put the healing down to that rather than the cress.
I have to say I always believed acne comes from within the body rather than just blocked pores but that's just my subjective thinking!
We all have different metabolisms but I hope someone is able to benefit from this testimony.
