Hi I'm 32 .. with oily skin, clogged pores, and suffer acne weekly. I am currently on Ziana at night and taking Doxycycline 100mg once daily. I'm on week 4 and it's my understanding that it may take 10 weeks to see results. I have had good and bad weeks.. I am in it for the long run to see if this works for me.
Hi I'm New Here..

Hi
I guess it can vary from case in terms of when people see results. Personally, I started seeing great results after just three weeks on Doxy, but then things kind of went downhill for a while until they really improved again by the end of the second month. I'm almost on the final month of a six month course so I'm going to taper off and take it every other day rather than just stop dead at the end so that my skin doesn't freak out again. It's been kind of difficult to see just how well the Doxy alone has worked for me because I've made changes to my diet over the last six weeks - reducing dairy, wheat and gluten, and cutting out processed foods - and things have improved dramatically in the last month so I'm guessing diet has been the main trigger for my acne in the past.
Fingers crossed for you though. I always think that at the very least, antibiotics can help curb things and give us a bit of breathing space should we need to also get to the root cause like hormones or diet, etc.
