Hello members (2time I wrote this post first one was lost I dontt f know why so I lose some detail in this one..)

So Ive been on isotretonoin before and it cleared my acne totally I have super oily face & some white heads. I last on 20mg twice a week for about 2 years but if I stop my acne comes 2 weeks after I guess its because it is such a low does that it doesn stay in my liver like 40mg patients?

20mg twice a week makes my acne and oily face dissapear. 1.75males 66-67kg

Derm says it is such a low dose I do not have any risk. So he send isotretonoin again. 20mg twice a week

but I know isotretonoin is no kids game it is a drug that have to be taken with responsability and side effects can be tremendous

I was wandering how should I monitor the drug I really dont want to mess my health

like blood work how often?
what other exams should I consult?
how do I know if I am having a hypervitaminosis A?
etc..

so anyone taken isotretonoin in such low doses? I was even thinking in trying 10mg twice a week..
or even just 10mg once a week

any advice is greatly apreciated!

Why don't you take 40 or 60mg every day for 6-7 months and get rid of it? Did you ask your doctor?

well I havent because I dont need such big doses with minimum I get awesome results.

also because side effects are lighter on low doses.. I can imagine with even lower doses like 10mg twice or once a week will be pretty nule

I am a little bit afraid on low dose long term use. effects
although derm says it doesnt have problem I have read some scary things

I'm taking "ultra low doses of accutane (claravis). My derm has me on 40 mg oncer per day every monday and thursday. I've been on that regimen for about 2 weeks now, and it hasn't made much of a difference. This is my first time on accutane and the only side effects I get are dry skin, lips, and hair. It's weird though, I think my side effects are more active on the days I take the pill, than on the days I didn't take one. But overall, my skin has gotten a bit worse, and I guess that's that initial breakout thing. As far as those other questions you had, about the blood tests and stuff, I just do what my derm tells me. I'm going in for a blood test in a couple weeks and will continue once a month like everyone else.
