Hey All,
I just wanted to offer a solution to flakiness that worked for me very well in the past and worked for me also on the Regimin. I was indeed careful not to add in any other products until my skin was clear, but after it was pretty much clear I was still experiencing very annoying flakiness. Therefore, I added in Clinique's Clarifying lotion (it's not actually a lotion, it's a clear liquid -- like a toner), which took away all of my flakiness and also helps with dryness and is helping to clear up red spots from old acne. I personally use the Clarifying Lotion number 3, which is for oily skin, but there are different types for different types of skin.
I apply the toner to a cotton pad and gently rub it on my face after I wash and before I apply the treatment. I do this just once a day. Essentially I would think of using this in place of alpha hydroxy lotion. This may not work for everyone but I just wanted to share because it worked so well for me and it is also a very gentle product and did not cause any irritation for my skin.
Best of luck!
