1st let me tell you about my skin regime
1. Sulfur & sulfacetamide face wash once everyday, in the morning
2. Wait 10-15 min, then moisturize with CeraVe moisturizer (the one in the pump bottle)
3. Apply Neutrogena On The Spot all over face
4. Wash face again in evening, then repeat step 2 & 3.
5. Wash face before going to bed, apply tretinoin 0.01%
I used to wash my face with a prescripton BP face wash, but they stopped making it so I decided to convince my dermatologist to prescribe me the sulfur face wash. He also prescribed me Benzaclin 5% BP and 3% erythromycin, but I decided to stop using it after only a few days. It was causing my skin so much irritation! And it got dryyyyy as hell. I used to use the knockoff brand of Neutrogena combination skin moisturizer, but it wasn't moisturizing enough so I switched to CeraVe. It does moisturize well, but I've been breaking out a little more ever since I started using it. It also makes my skin a little oily, maybe I'm using more than needed? Have you ever had this experience with CeraVe?
Is there any NON comedogenic, NON GREASY, OIL FREE moisturizer that you can recommend? Something that will make my skin soft, smooth and won't make me break out?
I also have tons of red marks on my cheeks, so I don't want anything that will irritate my skin and make the spots more prominent. I'm trying to get rid of them, I've had 5 fraxel laser treatments but they're still there UGHH.
Ugh! I Think Cerave Is The Reason I'm Getting These Little Zits All Over My Forehead?

I would recommend you buy Dan's BP and Dan's moisturizer. CeraVe causes many people to break out.
Using Neutrogena on the spot is not an all over face product, and you're going to spend a lot more money on it.
Additionally, you should be treating before moisturizing. Wash face, dry, treat, wait, moisturize.

thank you so much ripon, but what about the jojoba oil in the moisturizer? I know its supposed to be safe, but I'm wary of products that contain oil. I'm going to order dan's BP later.

I had the same issue with CeraVe. CeraVe is more moisturizing, meaning, I can use less and achieve more, than Dan's, but 3 pumps of Dan's seems to get the job done without any breakouts.

its so wierd everyone around here claims cetaphil as being one of the best products, but it cause me to breakout with a couple dozen whiteheads. The cerave products are definitly some of the best products ive used. Just shows you that everyone is different.

some people have great results with dan's moisturizer. personally, it broke me out. but you'll never know til you try. i wish it worked for me because it actually did moisturize very well. another option is CeraVe PM... I've been using this for about a month and I love it.
