I am kind of hoping someone can answer me a few questions as i'm getting to the peak of my frustration with acne, i am doing everything and to no avail it seems acne is dead set on making me as miserable as possible.

Firstly i have very pale sensitive skin, i have used numerous facial cleansers for quite some time now, ones i currently have are clearasil sensitive wash with moisturiser, and i also have clean and clear daily wash exfoliator, To me it seems that majority of the time when i become really bad with acne is whenever i shave, I can shave and within 2 days max spots come through either the painful under the skin ones which just look like a massive red patch on my casper look skin and not a nice sight to see or small whiteheads, Whenever i do get rid of the whitehead itself it leaves a red mark which use to dissapear within a matter of a week, 2 weeks at the most, but now they seem reluctant to go at all, I was prescribed benzoyl peroxide by the doctor, which has a small effect but mostly makes me skin more red and more irritated than before, I was also given dalacin T topical solution which does'nt seem to do anything, then when i went back to the docs i was given doxycycline which did nothing at all, and when i finally came off it, all hell broke lose with the spots they came with avengence.

What i was wondering is well, would you say sometimes its best to give your skin a break from all cleansers etc to let it recover from the chemicals been put on your face?

And i'm using gillete proglide which to my knowledge is one of the best wet shaves out there?

Or would you recommend i go onto maybe proactiv? and see how i get on with that

Any suggestions would be great :)

Have you considered trying natural acne solutions? Personnally, I do not recommend Proactiv as I find it very aggressive for the skin. I suggest you try Dermify which is an organic acne solution that I discovered through a friend few months ago. It does not contain any chemical that would make your skin red, dry or irritated, compared to many OTC products I have tried in the past and after using it for few weeks, my skin was cleared out, soft and all nice. Check it on amazon, it might be the solution for you as well. Hope that helps!

You appear to be like, you react negatively to the common treatments like BP. I wouldn't recommend stopping with the face wash, but stop with the BP if it is too irritating. Also, maybe take a look into electric shavers, as they can be much easier on the skin for some people like me. And ya, proactive isn't going to do anything amazing.

Jamesey, you ever try going on an alkaline diet for a month and seeing how that works? I am pretty sure that your skin sensitivity would subside. Give it a try and let me know how it goes. And if you've got any questions im here.
