I'm Emily, and I wish I would've discovered this forum 3 years ago!

After doing one round of Accutane and Bactrim for 5 months in 2010, my cystic acne came back with a vengeance in June 2011 after I started a medication that essentially opens your pores and oil glands. I finally went back to my dermatologist last week, expecting to get back on Accutane. Instead, she put me back on Bactrim, adding Epiduo and Finacea.

I take Bactrim 2x daily, and use the Epiduo on my face at night and the Finacea on my face in the morning and on my leg (for scars) at night. The Epiduo is really painful right now and my skin is dried out. I'm not sure if there's a good moisturizer to use or if Aveeno lotion is a legitimate solution, but I need something!

Anyway, I'm hoping that I'll be able to get (or even give) helpful advice - and obviously kick this acne's butt! :)

The attached picture is one of my face just after starting Accutane in June 2010. My face isn't nearly that bad now, but it's well on its way. Just giving everyone an idea.
